Now, for today's post, my daughter was asking me

the other day if I realized that I always make girly things.  She's absolutely correct!  I never make anything for boys.  Well, why would I?  I'm a girly-girl kinda mom, and I have two daughters.  'Nuff said, right?

Of course I thought and thought about what she said and I remembered that I made about fifty baby shower invitations awhile back for a baby boy.  The mom decided that she didn't want to have a baby shower, so now I have fifty invitations on my hand!  (Know anywhere that I can sell them? hee-hee!)

 P.S.  Why are my pictures always yellow?

Now for today's project...

I love my Bloomies. 

I received this sale flyer in the mail a couple of weeks ago.  I kept it because I thought the color scheme was interesting.

I think these colors are usually really gaudy when they're used together, but somehow they work well together in this ad.

I have gobs and gobs of cardstock in these colors (they really are difficult for me to work with...I like to stick with earth tones.)

I used the ad layout as my inspiration for this card.  It has turned out to be one of my favorites, which has been a pleasant surprise for me.  I'm glad I got to use my gobs and gobs.

I'm auditioning

to be a contestant in the next round of "So You Think You're Crafty."  I need to be one of the top ten in the audition round to be able to participate in the ten-week-long competition.  Each week we are given a category and we have to create something based on that category.

I'm not allowed to tell you which project is mine, but I think you'll be able to figure it out!

about the shoemaker and his kids?

Something about how the shoemaker is so caught up in making shoes for other people that his own kids don't have any shoes.

Well, replace 'shoe maker' with 'card maker' and I can relate.

I am so caught up in making cards for my card classes and for my blog and for other people, that when I need a card for me, well...forget it!

I desperately needed a cute baby girl card for our friends who just adopted a baby girl.  All I could find was this card that I made a couple of years ago.  Hey!  It's pink!  It even has a cute monkey on it!

Too bad it said this on the inside...

Ugh!!!  Can't anything ever be easy?

Well, as a matter of fact, things can be easy!

I just grabbed a piece of white cardstock and a cute little stamp and saved the day!

I just invented a new abbreviation

for bloggerland.  "WBL." 

It stands for "Will Blog Later."

It makes me feel better.

It's my way of easing my guilt for not having a post ready, yet still getting the point across that you're on my mind.

I'm busy today getting my babies ready for their spring-break trip.

I know what I'm going to blog about, I just need to get them packed and help them get their rooms cleaned.  You see, I told them that if their rooms aren't clean, they won't be going on their trip.  (Yeah, right.) 

Oh, and much to my little Erica's delight, my next project involves covering something with paper.
