eWillow.com's "Paper Clips"

I've been researching lots and lots of blogs for some exciting additions that are coming soon to eWillow.com.  I found some fabulous quilling by Russian artist Yulia Brodskaya. 

How cool is this?

In my book, you just can't get any cooler than that.  What a portfolio!  There really aren't any words in the dictionary to describe this work.  Really.  Check it out. 

Don't you just love them both? Guess what?  I have both harps and angels in my family...

My cousin's daughters both play the harp.  Her oldest daughter is graduating from college this spring, so they asked me to create invitations for her senior harp recital.

I wanted to show you what I came up with, but I also wanted to protect her identity.  Please excuse the gray blocks that are covering her name and the deets of the recital. 

I found a harp image online and printed it onto Stampin' Up's beautiful gold cardstock.  (It is the best.)  Then I printed the recital deets onto vellum cardstock (which is a little heavier than regular vellum, and also available from Stampin' Up.)

I punched a couple of holes, tied a bow with some brown silk ribbon, and punched the corners.

The harp angels love the results!

Paper is so important in our culture that it has been designated as THE gift to give to a couple to celebrate their first wedding anniversary.

Have you ever seen the incredible art form of paper cutting?  Artists use an exacto knife to create unbelievable masterpieces.  Just look at this wall-hanging created by artist Julene Harrison.

This is an art form I don't think I can even begin to attempt.  Isn't it incredible?  I am always amazed by others' talent.

I found these snazzy wooden oval frames for $1 each.  I coverd them with decorative paper, added some cut-out designs, and used a window sheet to cover them.  They can be used as spring decor before, during, and after Easter...and even into the summer.
