This is where I live. It looks like this just about every day, 365 days a year. Don't let this picture fool you, though. I don't have this view everyday, but I could if I wanted to. All I would have to do is drive about three miles down the road, hop out of my car, and stare in utter amazement at the beauty.

However, even though this glory is within my grasp, I have a few other things that I have to do every day that stand in my way of basking in the sun and cruising the calm, blue waters. This is one of those things:

But I digress. Let's get back to the beautiful weather. It's kind of weird to live in a place where there isn't a change of seasons. It gets cool and downright cold sometimes, but not very often. So when it comes to holidays, I often have to remind myself what month it actually is and what holiday it is that is approaching.
It kind of goes like this:
1) I know a holiday is coming up
2) Hmmm....I can't tell by the weather which holiday it is
3) Oh! It's such-and-such month, so that means it's ...insert holiday here.
As a person who makes greeting cards, I have to be aware waaaaay ahead of time of what is coming next. So, even though it is 95 degrees outside and there isn't (and there never will be) a hint of fall anywhere around me, it's time for me to put away the bathing suit and sunscreen and start working on Halloween, Thanksgiving, and yes, even Christmas cards. Ugh. But at least when the time finally does come, your card packages will be full of fun cards to send to your friends and family.
October is here and we are beginning to settle into fall. (Well, maybe you are, but like I've told you before, I don't get to experience fall where I live, remember?) If you haven't started thinking about your holiday decorations and homemade holi
