Hello!

Postby AMLantain » Fri Jul 23, 2010 6:19 pm

I've just signed on as a design vendor and I'm hoping to share not only my merchandise and designs, but also the results of my experiments with colours, techniques, and materials and some of the techniques I've developed. Most of what I have to offer are paper quilling designs, but I'd like to start making handmade cards, stationery, paper jewelry, and paper sculpting designs. I welcome any suggestions and advice that anyone has to offer and I'm willing to help as much as I can if anyone has a question or needs information.

Charlene

Thanks! The quote is actually from a collection of my own comedy writing. I've written a few more like it and I've even thought of using them for cards or t-shirts. As soon as I can find the rest, I'll post them and anyone can use them in whatever project they're working on.

I hope people will enjoy the work I'll be posting. Whether I start selling things right away, though, depends on how soon I can gain confidence in my ability to run an online business. I'm generally better at designing than selling, but I suppose this is as good a place to try as any.

Paper quillers rock... and roll!

Another perfect quote! I would love to put your quotes on eWillow.com t-shirts one day! Wouldn't that be fun?

Just start where you are comfortable and the selling part will take care of itself. Remember to put your unique eWillow.com URL on your business card, facebook page, and twitter page. Don't forget to put an eWillow.com badge on your personal blog/website. The more traffic you can drive to your studio, the more sales you will have!

You might also want to consider selling a package of several cards for a variety of occasions. Or consider offering to sign and mail the card for your customers directly to the person they want to send the card to.
